  1. Mederma…I think that’s how you spell it. Expensive stuff but it gets rid of scars (like stretch marks). Good luck.

  2. Honey, I’ve been using that Palmer’s stretch mark crap since the day I got a positive test, and I have stripes like a purple zebra. Consider yourself lucky you only got a few and that it took so long to get them. There really is no way to get rid of them besides having surgery…I believe there is a laser procedure to remove stretchmarks. Other than that, once you get them, they’re there for life, but they will eventually fade to a white, barely noticable color. The only thing you can do is stay moisturized and drink plenty of water.

  3. I wish!!

I look like ive been attacked by lions. My poor tummy. =(

  4. The cream may help, but if you’re genetically predisposed to getting stretch marks, nothing will prevent them. And nothing gets rid of them, though they will fade.

  5. sorry there is no way to prevent stretch marks and get rid of them..I tried… they will fade in time (like a year after you have your baby). Just keep putting creams on that way your tummy wont get so dry…

  6. Unfortunately, there is little that you can do to prevent stretchmarks. Just keep doing what you are doing ( hydrating, moisturizing) and after delivery, try mederma with yoru doctor’s permission. They can reduce the appearance of stretchmarks, but short of cosmetic surgery, there is nothing that can get rid of them.

  7. I don’t think there is a way to get rid of stretch marks. But, if you keep using the cream it should become less apparent over time.
I’ve heard that stretch marks have more to do with genetics than anything else, and that there is no stopping them, no matter how much cream you use. But, I think anything is worth a try. I’ve been using the Palmers cream too, but only once or twice a week. other than that I use regular lotion or baby oil gel when I get out of the shower. And, still no stretch marks on my tummy. I’m at 32 weeks now, and all I’ve gotten is some stretch marks on my butt and upper thighs. I think they’ve always been there though.

  8. Well, if at 35 weeks all you have are light ones below your belly, you are lucky!! There is no way to prevent or get rid of stretch marks, they are herediatry. The lotion just helps it not get as bad.

  9. Stretch marks are hereditary. You can only prevent them to a certain extent. You don’t need the Palmers. I used Curell body lotion and never got them. My mother had them, but maybe I inherited my grandmother’s genes through my father. Just try to watch your weight and don’t gain too much the remainder of your pregnancy and use any lotion to moisturize your skin. There is nothing to completely remove stretch marks, even plastic surgery. If you lose weight, they will shrink down, but they will never go away.

There is no way to prevent or “erase” stretch marks unless you have the funds for laser surgery. You may can REDUCE the amount of stretch marks you have by keeping your skin VERY hydrated (like with Palmers) , drinking lots of water (atleast 8 glasses a day) and exercising regularly during pregnancy (yoga).

I’ve had 3 children and I wish there was a lotion that could wipe all of mine away lol..

  11. Until about 33-34 weeks I didn’t have any. Now at almost 36 weeks I have a couple small purple ones on each side of my belly, near my hips. I put intensive care/extreme healing lotion on them when I remember….but where can I purchase mederma, or other creams made specifically for stretch marks?

  12. I have been using all natural shea butter. A friend of mine got it off e-bay. It’s from the shea nut tree in Africa-no additives. It’s worked well for me, and even got rid of some of the pre-existing strechies that I had. Perfect!!
