  1. There is no limit. I woke up with 2 around 5 months and it seems like over night I was covered in them! Somewomen do not get them. Also, it your belly itches do not scratch! I read where that can cause stretch marks as well.

It is different for every woman. Some can get them as early as their second month. For me, I was really lucky I never got stretch marks, and I am not seeing any in my second pregnancy either. I hope the same for you!!

  3. Well everyone is diff. Some people might not even get stretch marks and you might be on of those lucky peopl! Usually if ur mom got them you will to and if she didnt you have a good chance of not getting them. I would say most woman would get them around 5-6 months.

  4. I hear ya! Before I got pregnant i weighed 120 pounds and now I’m 135. Anyways, All women are diffrent but for me I started getting stretch marks like the 3rd month of my pregnancy; especially on the butt and breats and now its like the stretch marks are getting even worse. UGH! But your just very lucky not to get them “yet”. You’ll get them soon though.

  5. Remember that you will gain the most weight in your last trimester, particularly the last 2 months. So even if you don’t have any up until then, that is the time when your skin will be stretching the fastest. Some women are lucky though and don’t get any. You’ll just have to wait and see basically up until the day you give birth. Keep moisturizing!

  6. If your mom has stretch marks, or you have stretch marks from puberty more than likely you’ll get them eventually.

I did everything I could to prevent them on me. I used the lotions and creams, and didn’t scratch….but still got them on my butt where I already had stretch marks from my 6 inch growth spurt 8 years ago…who knew you could get stretch marks on top of stretch marks?

The ones on my butt popped up out of nowhere around 25-26 weeks. Still none on my belly. I’m crossing my fingers.

Stretch marks on my thighs didn’t show til about 8 months, and i didn’t notice strecth marks on my belly until the last week :(

  8. i guess i started getting some around week 29. they could have started earlier. i didn’t get the linea negra so i thought i was not going to get the stretch marks either, but one day as i was drying off in front of the full length mirror i saw something, asked my husband if they looked like stretch marks and he said yes. it’s only been 2 weeks or so since i’ve noticed them and they haven’t gotten any worse. i’ve gained 32 lbs at this point. i have noticed since getting them my belly’s much more itchy though. i’ve been using lots of cocoa butter.

  11. I have had 10 children, all the parenting books that I have read, says , some weight gain is O.K. but, a big amount causes stretch marks. Your Dr. will let you know how much you should gain safely.he goes by your height etc. Talk to your DR. about this ,this will help.

  12. I’ve had 2 kids and I didn’t get any. I always used curel ultra healing and Nivea lotion.
